Book & Media Reviews

Journal of Intergenerational Relationships Publishers, distributors, and authors may submit books, videos, etc. for review to our editors. The subject matter must be intergenerational. Books and media in any language will be reviewed in English.

Reviews of adult books, children's books and media should be of 900-1400 words and include:

  • A summary of the content
  • Relevance for publication in JIR highlighting intergenerational components
  • Indications of age appropriateness
  • Characteristics of special note
  • Uniqueness of the piece
  • APA style reference for the book or film being reviewed
  • ISBN number (as appropriate)
  • Children's books to be reviewed will be current (published within the past 10 years) unless they are "classics"
