Der demografische Wandel betrifft die gesamte Gesellschaft. 2030 wird es nur noch 12,5 Mio. Bürgerinnen und Bürger geben, die jünger als 20 Jahre sind. Die Bevölkerung wird nicht nur älter, sondern ganze Landstriche verändern sich durch das Verschwinden von Dörfern. Volker Amrhein vom Projektbüro Dialog der Generationen beschreibt in seinem Beitrag, wie mit dem Projekt angesichts dieses Wandels das Miteinander der Generationen befördert werden soll. Dazu müssen neue Ideen entwickelt, neue Ansätze erprobt und alte Rahmenbedingungen äberpräsft werden. Notwendig ist auch, den wachsenden Qualifizierungsbedarf zu befriedigen und die vielen verschiedenen Projekte miteinander in einen produktiven Austausch zu versetzen.

The Association for Gerontology in Higher Education (aka AGHE) is the international leader in advancing education on aging and is the only institutional membership organization devoted primarily to gerontology and geriatrics education since 1974.

 

Association for Anthropology and Gerontology

The Association for Anthropology and Gerontology (AAGE) was established in 1978 as a multidisciplinary group dedicated to the exploration and understanding of aging within and across the diversity of human cultures. Our perspective is holistic, comparative, and international. Our members come from a variety of academic and applied fields, including the social and biological sciences, nursing, medicine, policy studies, social work, and service provision.

 

Intergeneration Day Worldwide

The Mission of Intergeneration Day, celebrated worldwide the first Sunday in October, is to connect generations through communication, celebration, and education. Creating an age-integrated community leads to a healthy community, where the strengths of one generation meet the needs of another. All generations grow in an appreciation for cultural heritages, traditions, histories and values.


Generations Together (GT)

Generations Together (GT) is an international center for intergenerational studies at the University of Pittsburgh. It furthers program development, education and training, research, and dissemination, and technical support that helps professionals acquire the knowledge, understanding, and skills to integrate intergenerational components into their work.

Brookdale Center for Healthy Aging & Longevity of Hunter College is a multi-disciplinary center of excellence dedicated to the advancement of successful aging and longevity through research, education, and evaluation of evidence-based models of practice and policy.
