Der demografische Wandel betrifft die gesamte Gesellschaft. 2030 wird es nur noch 12,5 Mio. Bürgerinnen und Bürger geben, die jünger als 20 Jahre sind. Die Bevölkerung wird nicht nur älter, sondern ganze Landstriche verändern sich durch das Verschwinden von Dörfern. Volker Amrhein vom Projektbüro Dialog der Generationen beschreibt in seinem Beitrag, wie mit dem Projekt angesichts dieses Wandels das Miteinander der Generationen befördert werden soll. Dazu müssen neue Ideen entwickelt, neue Ansätze erprobt und alte Rahmenbedingungen äberpräsft werden. Notwendig ist auch, den wachsenden Qualifizierungsbedarf zu befriedigen und die vielen verschiedenen Projekte miteinander in einen produktiven Austausch zu versetzen.

Association for Anthropology and Gerontology

The Mission of Intergeneration Day, celebrated worldwide the first Sunday in October, is to connect generations through communication, celebration, and education. Creating an age-integrated community leads to a healthy community, where the strengths of one generation meet the needs of another. All generations grow in an appreciation for cultural heritages, traditions, histories and values.
