Sally Newman, Ph.D. Dr. Newman is an emeritus member of the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Education faculty, Founder and retired Executive Director of Generations Together: An Intergenerational Studies Program of the University of Pittsburgh, and former chair of the International Consortium for Intergenerational Programmes (ICIP). She is a pioneer in intergenerational programs and is known nationally and internationally as an author, educator, spokesperson, and researcher. She has developed and co-teaches several courses on the rationale, structure, and outcomes of intergenerational initiatives. She is a consultant to agencies that serve their communities’ older adults, children, and youth in the United States and abroad. Dr. Newman has edited and co-authored the first textbook on intergenerational issues, Intergenerational Programs: Imperatives, Strategies, Impacts, Trends (Haworth Press) and is senior author of Intergenerational Programs: Past, Present and Future (Taylor & Francis).

Mariano Sanchez, DSoc. Dr. Sanchez is Permanent Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Granada, Spain. Dr. Sanchez's honors include being a member of the Management Committee of the International Consortium for Intergenerational Programs, an Honorary Member of the Association of Education and Ageing, Great Britain, and receiving the Faculty Research Award granted by the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Canadian Government. He is President of OFECUM, a not-for-profit organization devoted to fostering cultural volunteering among older adults in Spain and National Vice-President of the nongovernmental organization "Solidarios para el Desarollo."
