Journal of Intergenerational Relationships
  • adhere to a 15-20 page limit (approximately 5000 words including abstract and references). However, if longer papers hold promise, please make recommendations to the authors for shortening the papers.
     
  • indicate the country that is the site of the content described in the paper.
     
  • be about intergenerational relationships (content related to interaction between the older and younger generations).
     
  • make a contribution to the literature as original scholarship or based upon earlier published work that has been expanded and reflects new ideas.
     
  • have a realistically researched historic, social, and cultural or developmental orientation.
     
  • reflect a writing level and style appropriate for a respected peer reviewed journal.
     
  • adhere to APA format with regards to citations, references, and bibliography.
     
  • reflect "a level of sensitivity and care to protect the integrity and overall well-being of participants in intergenerational programs" (T. Seedsman at board meeting June 2004).
